Usually we try to stray away from posting mashups. Why so? Well we feel that they’re a lot like Geico to be honest: so easy a caveman can do it. However, I do listen to a ton in search of originality/bangerosity, and in these trials DJ Mroz caught my attention. Obviously lured in by the promise of Florence’s siren vocals, Denzal Park’s Militia completely blindsided me. Somehow it had flown under my ‘Beats So Dirty Not Even Orbit Gum Could Save Them’ playlist, so when this mashup built into it’s ‘mini drop’ of Militia‘s sexual body groove, I spit out the water I was drinking (not true, just a hyperbole). The mash doesn’t drop hard, and doesn’t need to with Flo belting out bliss in the breakdown and a beat that makes me grind with myself. Next time I’ll be more prepared for this war.
